GPU pricing has been a hot topic of conversation for years now, with COVID resulting in huge price increases that have only just normalized in the last 12 months. Today, there are rumours of yet another potential price hike coming, with Chinese board partners adjusting prices for several models. Despite this seemingly enclosed to the Chinese market, there is speculation that we may see the same in the US.

With stock levels for the RTX 4090 seemingly on the rise and most RTX 30 series and 40 series GPUs slightly below the MSRP, it seems hard to believe that this may actually occur – but stranger things have happened. The European market, for example, is struggling with stock levels and pricing is quite volatile across the board.

All being said, we’ve been searching high and low to find some of the market’s best GPU deals, and we think now – despite April not being the best time to find deals – could be a great time to invest in a new upgrade.

Below, we’ll highlight a number of graphics card deals that are worth your consideration:

Will GPU prices go up in the US?

There is no evidence to suggest that pricing will increase in America, quite the contrary, actually. As stated above, the States is actually seeing an increase in RTX 4090 stock levels and pricing is incredibly reasonable. That being said, we have seen price increases in the past, with COVID forcing prices up exponentially.

One factor that may give some comfort is that, while the current price increase is happening in China, the GPU most effected isn’t actually available in the US. The RTX 4090D, a China-specific version of the 4090, is the card that is seeing the biggest increase in price, with costs going up by around 200-300 Yuan.

All being said, its hard to know whether or not we’ll see price increases in the US – but it looks unlikely. One thing you will be happy to hear though, is that deals are a’plenty right now, and there are some cracking price cuts on GPUs.
