We like to think that Steam Deck users are always looking forward to trying new games on their handheld. As video games tend to be expensive, many wait for sales events in order to grab their most-wanted or eye-catching titles at discounted prices.

The good news is there are also certain bundles up for purchase, which can help you snag several games for a small price. So, introducing the Handheld Heroes offer from Fanatical, which lets you build your own bundle, featuring games that all are compatible with the Steam Deck in either a ‘Verified’ or ‘Playable’ state.

What does the Handheld Heroes bundle offer?

The Handheld Heroes bundle offers a total of 16 games for you to choose from, but the price of the bundle will depend on how many games you select. For instance, if you select two games, you’ll have to pay $7. On the other hand, three games will cost you $10, while five will cost you $15. From this point onward, every game that you add to the bundle will cost $3 each. In total, you’ll have to pay $48 for all 16 games. The original value of the entire bundle (based on the recommended retail price) is more than $300, so you’ll save over $250 thanks to this offer.

For those who don’t know, Verified means that the game runs smoothly on the Steam Deck without any tweaks or adjustments. On the other hand, Playable means the game runs well on the device, but you’ll need to tweak the settings to optimize performance. However, in some cases, Playable games also run smoothly out of the box, and Riders Republic is a good example of this. The Steam Summer Sale is also upon us, and we can expect to see discounts on several Steam Deck games when it goes live.

Any good games?

To us, the main highlight of the bundle is Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. If you’ve been craving for some FPS action, then you should definitely give this game a try. Set in an alternate reality where Axis powers won World War 2, and you play as William Joseph “B.J.” Blazkowicz to fight against the regime. The main story will keep you attached to your screen for around 11 hours, but for 100% completion, you can expect to spend anywhere around 35 hours. Special mention to Quake II as well if you fancy more FPS action.

On the other hand, there is a good variety of genres here to pick up and play. Dishonored 2 is another huge title, falling under the ‘action-adventure’ umbrella, providing many ways to play – from strictly stealthy to all-out violence. Among the list are also several more casual titles such as puzzle game Pan’orama or the Hidden Cats Triple Pack.
