The countdown has begun to the Steam Summer Sale this year, so we’re going to explain exactly when 2024’s Summer Sale kicks off. Everything you need to know has been revealed in an official trailer just ahead of the event – it even showcased a few games that should be part of the annual sales. Both the start date and end date are now known.

Even ahead of the event, we’ve seen some incredible deals, such as 90% off two Shadow Warrior titles. With the upcoming Summer Sale expected to dish out discounts of 75% or more, it’s a good time to wait and see what’s on offer as the biggest price cuts will soon arrive.

Steam Summer Sale start time announced

There’s no need to speculate about when the Summer Sale will start, as Steam has already revealed it will be running between June 27 – July 11, 2024, starting at 10am Pacific Time. To get a clearer picture of how this will look in your region, we’ve converted that into some different time zones.

  • 10am PDT (US Pacific)
  • 12pm CDT (US Central)
  • 1pm EDT (US Eastern)
  • 6pm BST (UK)
  • 7pm CEST (Central Europe)
  • 3am June 28th AEST (Sydney, Australia)
  • 5am June 28th NZST (New Zealand)

What will be discounted in the Steam Summer Sale 2024?

We expect a large amount of games to be included in the Steam Summer Sale. Sites such as SteamDB are not only counting down to the exact second discounts begin, but are a good resource to check out games that are commonly on offer this time of year. We suggest searching for a game you’re particularly interested in (or is on your Steam games wishlist) and checking out the price history in your region.

One thing to note is that the official trailer for the Summer Sale did mention a range of different games, presumably ones that will be discounted. Some of the biggest namedrops include Manor Lords, Palworld, Stellaris, and Batman: Arkham Knight.
